Click the floor to walk, or click a station to walk over and use it. Keep working on the shop floor when customers call. At the office, answer before doing CAD: a three-second conversation, then accept a rush or keep the original promise. Machines and deadlines keep running. A rush earns +100 on time or costs 25 if missed. In Mixed Orders, Rush Hour and Night Shift, after two normal shipments, a customer part may need a capability outside this shop. Choose Covari to place it, collect the delivery at Receiving, run QC, then ship for 300 points. Saying no has no penalty. Outsourced parts do not count toward shipment stars. Night Shift adds Deburr and the Anodize color bath between machining and inspection, and its Covari offer is a finishing process the floor has no station for.
Open for Business. Quotes arrive all day. Accept work your floor can make; a quote with a crossed-out step needs a process you do not have. You can only take work you have machines for, or turn on Covari and send it to them (they name a price, your margin is what you add, then you collect the crate, inspect and ship), or turn away. Time stops while you plan: press M or Shop to pause the clock and buy equipment, hire staff, upgrades and expansions. Large bays in the east wing take extra lathes, mills and QC benches. During evening hours, bays on the floor are also clickable to inspect or rearrange. Each quote card has a bid: ◀ ▶ raises your price and lowers the chance the customer says yes. The sales strip sets your standing bid and rules; hire a sales manager and they answer quotes with them. Machines wear with every cycle and can break down: stand at a broken machine to repair it, or at an idle worn one with empty hands to service it. Rent and wages are due every evening; if cash goes below zero, the run ends. Each accepted job has ⚡ Expedite (your staff handle it first) and +1 day, which asks the customer for a day more: the card shows the chance they refuse and take the job elsewhere, which counts as expired. The sales strip also sets a review line (bigger quotes wait for you), your Covari margin, and a Covari limit for small jobs. Turn Covari on with the Covari switch in the shop menu. After the east wing, build south halls for more bays; owning one lets you move any idle machine to another bay (it reinstalls). Zoom with the scroll wheel, pinch or + −, drag to look around, 0 to fit. Runs save as you play; continue from the Open for Business card.
